Large oak mirror C1830
Large early 19th century oak mirror. This mirror has leaves carved into the top moulding, broken in the centre with a large, wonderful, lions head. The carving on the sides also depicts lions heads, going into a fruit and leaf motif. It is finished at the bottom with c-scrolls to the corners, and broken half round molding to the base. I would say that this fabulous mirror has come out of a large country house where it would have been originally positioned over a mantlepiece.
